i thought of a crazy idea for my lesson today :)
FISHBALLS!!
wen to sheng siong ytd to get some fishballs.
at hm, annisaa helped me boil the fishballs in three different food colourings.
wanted to dye it red, yellow n blue as they are the primary colours
but mama dun haf any blue food colouring.
i dyed it green instead!
-colours of the traffic lights!
well since im taking the 2-3 yrs age grp,
im introducing them to shapes n colours..
wad a better way to do it with these dyed fishballs :)
its CIRCLE.
its RED.
its GREEN.
its YELLOW.
and wen miss nana cut it into half for me to eat the fishballs,
its WHITE inside :)
they will definately rmber the lesson coz
they got to touch n feel the fishballs
and most imptly, EAT it!! haha.
my children love it!!
tips for parents/care givers:
u can extend the lesson by doing patterning with ur children,
eg. AB pattern - red, green, red, green or
ABBA pattern - red, green, green, red etc
or as i just discovered "colours of the traffic light"
great follow up activity for ur "transportation" theme :)
